Current Campaigns for Community Projects

Consider ways to give back to the North Platte area by donating to one or more of these current campaigns:

Arts Center -
Additional Funds are needed to renovate the former North Platte post office building at Fifth and Jeffers Streets into a new arts center.  Direct donations to the Creativity Unlimited Arts Council Building Fund at Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation.

"Bark Park" for dogs - Additional funds are needed to complete a new City of North Platte "Bark Park" where dogs can run off leash near the North Platte River at North Sycamore and West 18th Streets.  Direct donations to the Bark Park Fund at Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation.

Health Science Building at North Platte Community College - Additional funds are needed for construction of a new Health Science Building on the South Campus of North Platte Community College to provide adequate space and up-to-date laboratories for students preparing for careers in nursing and other health occupations.  Direct donations to the North Platte Community College Foundation or to Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation for the NPCC Health Science Building.

Hike-bike trail segment - Matching funds are needed to finance construction of a new hike-bike trail segment along the NPPD canal and east of the Interstate lake park.  This new trail segment will connect with two existing trails.  Direct donations to North Platte Trails Fund at Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation.

Landscaping downtown - Additional funds are needed to landscape area near the corner of 6th and Jeffers in downtown North Platte and to recognize longtime community builder Keith Blackledge.  Direct donations to Keith Blackledge Downtown Landscaping Fund at Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation.

Skate park - Additional funds are needed to improve public skateboard and skate facilities in North Platte, in cooperation with the City of North Platte,  Direct donations to North Platte Skate Park Fund at Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation.
