Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation administers a wide variety of charitable and scholarship funds to meet diverse charitable goals. Each fund has its own specifications.
Donations to the Community Foundation including those for Book of Memory entries may be made to virtually any existing fund or be made to establish a new fund:

Scholarship Funds help students who meet selection criteria
Charitable funds earn tax-exempt investment returns Charitable assets within funds are invested and earnings are exempt from taxes. Earnings on invested assets are allocated proportionately to each permanent fund. Earnings on endowment funds have had long-term average returns of 8.6% per year. Each year portions of the funds are used to finance scholarships as well as disbursements to non-profit organizations and worthy causes.
